Hardcover with dustjacket, first American printing as stated on copyright page, a beautiful copy of this Christmas anthology by this beloved author, book has a few tiny edge-bumps that detract very little from the its fine appearance and no other remarkable flaws, the jacket has mild tanning near the top edge, a few miniscule edge-nicks, and two tiny areas of surface-wear on the front panel, the jacket looks great, the flaws are minor, the original price (5.00) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included

A very fine copy of the grey fairy book Gilt title on the spine and a fairy riding on a Tiger on the front board a fairy is riding on an owl with the moon behind her. Gilt edges all round black end papers, many black and white illustrations a super copy.

Charles Ives, 1922. This is a first edition, second impression, of 114 Songs, a book of sheet music, by Charles Ives in its original blue cloth cover lettered in gilt. It has pp37-39 printed. Affixed to inside of the front cover is a 7x11 cm piece of paper with Ive's ink inscription, clipped from an unrelated item: ""C. E. I. Christmas. 1929 164 East 74th St. NY."" The first impression was only 500 copies, which Ives distributed privately. This second impression was consisted of a reported 1000 copies intended, again, for private distribution, and included additional music not included in the first impression. The book is in near fine condition with very minimal wear.
